Epsilon Iota Iota Chapter recognizes individuals and organizations in the New Haven area for their significant contributions to the community, celebrating excellence in service, leadership, and academic achievement.

Fatherhood and Mentoring

EII takes an active role in promoting responsible fatherhood and mentoring young men in the New Haven community. Through workshops and one-on-one mentoring, the chapter helps strengthen family bonds and guide positive youth development.

STEM

EII promotes STEM education through outreach programs in New Haven, inspiring local students to pursue careers in these fields and fostering future leaders in science and technology.

Voter Registration, Education, and Mobilization

EII is committed to increasing voter turnout in New Haven by organizing voter registration drives, educating the community on the importance of voting, and encouraging civic engagement.

Health Initiatives

EII promotes health and wellness throughout the New Haven area, organizing events such as health fairs, cancer awareness campaigns, and blood pressure screenings to improve the well-being of the local community.

College Endowment Fund

EII raises funds to support historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs), ensuring these vital institutions continue to educate and develop future leaders.

NAACP

In line with Omega Psi Phi's national commitment, EII supports the local NAACP chapter, participating in civil rights advocacy and social justice efforts that uplift the New Haven African American community.

Scholarship

The chapter awards scholarships to students in the New Haven area, helping local youth achieve their academic goals and reinforcing the importance of higher education.

Social Action Program

EII actively engages in community service projects throughout New Haven, such as food drives, mentoring, and social justice initiatives that directly benefit the local community.

Talent Hunt Program

This annual event provides New Haven high school students with the opportunity to showcase their artistic talents, including music, dance, and visual arts, with recognition and rewards for outstanding performances.

Memorial Service

EII holds an annual memorial service to honor the memory of deceased fraternity brothers, celebrating their lives and contributions to both the chapter and the broader New Haven community.

Reclamation and Retention

The chapter focuses on reconnecting with inactive fraternity members in New Haven and beyond, encouraging them to return to active involvement in the chapter’s events and initiatives.
